Four-step setup

Set up OTP Helper
on your devices

Install the Windows application and browser extension, then connect an iPhone or a supported mailbox.

01

Install OTP Helper for Windows

  1. Download and run the signed PC Agent from this website.
  2. Wait for the OTP Helper icon to appear in the Windows system tray.
  3. Open the tray menu, link your account and confirm this PC in the browser.

Windows notice: the current build uses a temporary internal signing identity. Download it only from otphelper.com. OTP Helper never asks you to install a certificate manually.

02

Install the browser extension

Open the official Chrome Web Store or Mozilla Add-ons listing from the Downloads page. The extension connects locally to the PC Agent; a shared API token is not displayed.

Choose your browser
03

Connect an iPhone

  1. Open OTP Helper → Settings → iPhone connection.
  2. Create a one-time QR code and scan it with the iPhone camera.
  3. Install the shared Shortcuts command, paste the personal link into the import question and create a Messages automation that runs immediately.

Never share the personal link. You can revoke and recreate it from the PC Agent at any time.

04

Connect email

  1. Open OTP Helper → Settings → Email connections.
  2. For Gmail or Outlook, continue through the official Google or Microsoft OAuth screen.
  3. For Yandex Mail, Mail.ru or Yahoo, create a separate app password instead of using the main account password.

Mailbox access is performed locally on this PC. Gmail content, OAuth tokens and extracted OTPs are not uploaded to the OTP Helper account or server storage.

Ready when

  • The PC Agent shows a connected server channel
  • The extension status is online
  • A test code reaches the active browser
